Now for several Tidbits!
- Watch for news on Ocean Gourmet Salts, a new Numerica Credit Union in Post Falls, Monet Floors & Home Design moving on Government Way, Post Falls Brewing Co. under construction at 112 N. Spokane St., a new Ace Hardware coming to 14236 N. Highway 41 in Rathdrum, Odom Distributing under construction north of Hayden, Soul One Yoga coming to Old City Hall downtown and McAllister Technical Services moving to 12th and Sherman.
- The last Farmers Market of the year will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Jacklin Building at the Fairgrounds. About 40 vendors’ items include garlic, potatoes, carrots, leeks, onions, eggs, bacon, pork and winter greens. Admission, music and cookies are free.
- Printed advertisements should not be allowed on public utility poles.
- The Chipotle Mexican Grill opening in early 2016 is seeking employees at www.jobs.chipotle.com.
- Back to radio. Long-time retired KVNI radio announcer Bob Hough’s grandkids, Julie Ann and Derek Hough, have long been professional dancers and commentators on TV’s “Dancing With the Stars.”
Their last name, Hough, is pronounced like “tough.” But the various vowel sounds of “ough” are weird. Compare “though,” “through,” “cough” “rough” and “bough.”
- Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving and weren’t blasted badly by the windstorm.
- “Twitter” is capitalized, but verbs “tweet” and “tweeted” are not.
- A real headline: “Frequent sex enhances pregnancy chances.”
