KROC: Cool with the pool

| November 29, 2015 8:00 PM

I want to sincerely thank the Coeur d’Alene Kroc Center for hosting last weekend’s Turkey Trot Swim Meet. As one of the Coeur d’Alene Area Swim Team (CAST) coaches I cannot thank the supervisors and employees of the Kroc Center enough for their hard work in hosting 288 USA Swimming athletes over two and one half days with some of the finest and fastest swimming this community has ever seen.

I’ve been lucky enough to be one of CAST’s coaches for 10 years now and have also coached the Lake City High School swim team since that high school opened. It is wonderful to have the support of the Kroc Center and this community for our local swim teams. This fall the Kroc Center hosted six major high school invitationals as well as the swim meet last weekend. I know I speak on behalf of all the swim team coaches when I say thanks to the Kroc Center.

I also want to thank all the Kroc Center members who give up their lap swimming and aquatic classes during these meets and share the pool when our swimmers are training. Your sacrifice is allowing CAST to turn out some of the very best athletes that Idaho has ever seen. Thank You All!
