McGaughey to speak at NIC Booster Luncheon
Patrick H. McGaughey, former president and CEO of the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce, will be the speaker at the North Idaho College Booster Club Luncheon at noon today at the Coeur d’Alene Resort.
McGaughey will share sports metaphors and stories that he shares with audiences coast to coast as an international business speaker to conferences, private industry and business associations. His presentation will include an explanation as to why the Mariners won 116 games in 2001 and then lost in the first round of the playoffs. He will tell the boosters what Yogi Berra didn’t say and he will share why he believes that hockey and soccer are un-American.
The NIC Booster Club will also recognize the NIC volleyball team after a successful run at the NJCAA national tournament in Casper, Wyo.
The NIC Booster Club meets twice a month, on the second and last Tuesday of each month. The special NIC Booster Club lunch menu is $10 or less and the public is welcome to attend the luncheon. NIC coaches will provide updates on recruiting, season sports, and upcoming athletic tournaments and athletic department events.
