DEMENTIA: Story was very moving

I enjoyed the article on Jim Hoogland and Alzheimer’s. It was very touching.

I, too, was a caregiver of a dementia spouse. I kept him home as long as I could. I did have help from my family, especially my youngest daughter.

It broke my heart to put him in long-term care. They could give him the care he needed.

I now have older grandsons living with me who help get me through each day.
