ASA SOFTBALL: Xtreme improves to 5-0 in Surf City tournament

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Haley Loffer went 2 for 2 with a triple, two runs batted in and three stolen bases, helping the North Idaho Xtreme Under-18 softball team beat Sacramento Foothills Gold 3-2 in pool play of the Surf City Early Thanksgiving tournament on Saturday at Saddleback College.
The Xtreme also beat the San Diego Breakers 5-4 and Easton Elite 4-0 to improve to 5-0 in pool play.
Bailey Taylor went 2 for 2 with a triple and two RBIs against the San Diego Breakers and Chloe Falciani had an RBI in games against the Breakers and Easton Elite.
Kelsey Gumm and Breana Burke combined to strike out nine against the Easton Elite.
The team concludes the tournament today against the SoCal Firecrackers and Cal Badgers at Saddleback College.
