| November 18, 2015 8:00 PM

Jack Paul Rinallo Jr., of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, died on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015. He was born on July 10, 1949, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Jack Rinallo Sr. and Santina Rinallo (Ciappa).

Through family acquaintances, he was able to meet and eventually marry his sweetheart Teresa, on Sept. 29, 1973, and Sealed for time and all eternity in the Spokane LDS Temple on May 18, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Teresa; and two daughters Jennifer Rinallo (David) Westover of Queen Creek, Ariz., and Kristie Rinallo (Chad) Duce of Post Falls, Idaho. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, who always loved and admired him with their whole hearts. (Joshua, Kyndra, Hailee, Gabe, Michael, Isabella Westover, as well as Keyera, Caleb, Kylie, Katelynn and Kelsey Duce).

At the age of 1, his family moved to Glendale, Calif., where he grew up. Jack has five siblings, Angelo, who preceded him in death; brother Peter; as well as sisters Rose, Angie and Ann Marie.

After serving an honorable career with the Los Angeles Police Department, Jack retired at the age of 42 and moved to Coeur d’Alene to be closer to friends and realize his dream of living in and enjoying all things pertaining to the outdoors.

While living in Coeur d’Alene, he continued to work and thrive in his new community. For several years he worked security for Kootenai Medical Center and just so happened to be working the night his first grandchild was born. His daughter still speaks fondly of the memory of him bringing her ice cream and sharing that night with her as she recovered from child birth.

For those who knew Jack, they will always remember him as the guy who looked way to good to for his age. He loved fitness and enjoyed helping others achieve their fitness goals. After he moved on from security work, he dedicated a fair amount of his free time as a personal trainer and completed three Olympic Coeur d’Alene triathlons. He loved this work, and more importantly, his clients loved him. Not only did he know a thing or two about fitness, he was also a great conversationalist and friend. He was a true inspiration in many ways. He always had a twinkle in his eye with a witty sense of humor.

Most importantly, those knew and now fondly remember Jack, will never forget that he was genuine and honest. He had immense strength and always had the ability to lift others up. He was wise and caring. Up until his final moments, what mattered most to him was his family. He surrounded himself with those he loved most as they spent their final weeks together. The love they shared for each other, as a family was not lost, but rather relished up until his very last breath. Jack Paul Rinallo Jr. made a difference to this world. His legacy of goodness, will now be carried on by all who survive him.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Coeur d’Alene Ward, 2801 N. Fourth St.
