Elizabeth May (Colpitts) Jacquot, 101

Elizabeth May (Colpitts) Jacquot was born Oct. 23, 1914, to Elmer C. Colpitts and May O. (Howell) Colpitts, in Pullman, Wash. She passed away at the Village at Orchard Ridge, on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015.

Elizabeth attended Pullman Public Schools, graduating as valedictorian of her class. She also attended Washington State College, now known as Washington State University.

She married Arthur Charles Jacquot Sr. on Aug. 22, 1937, in Pullman, Wash. She worked as a secretary at Washington State College and for the A.S.C.S. office, in Coeur d’Alene. She belonged to the Eagles Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors and Rathdrum Grange. She served as an officer in many positions in those organizations. Elizabeth was an accomplished pianist and played for many organizations. She enjoyed needlepoint and was an excellent cook. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Elizabeth is survived by sons, Elmer, Edward (Marlene), Richard (Carol), son-in-law Vern Bakie and daughter-in-law Bette. Her grandchildren are David, John, Jena, Cindy, Steven, Michael, Brian, Susan and Sandra. Also surviving are 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, son Charles, daughter Emily, daughter-in-law Helen, her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

The family would like to thank The Village at Orchard Ridge (formerly Coeur d’Alene Homes), Dr. Lawrence Gibbon and Hospice of North Idaho for their excellent care.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at Yates Funeral Home Coeur d’Alene Chapel, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene. There will be a viewing from 10-10:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel. Following the service, there will be a graveside interment at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens, 7315 N. Government Way. Following the graveside interment, there will be a celebration of Elizabeth’s life at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3115 N. 15th St., Coeur d’Alene.
