Wind speeds clocked at 60 mph in Cd'A

Meteorologist Randy Mann told The Press that as of 5 p.m., wind gusts in Coeur d'Alene had reached 60 mph.

The National Weather Service recorded a wind gust of 74 mph at the airport in Spokane.

Mann noted that a Category 1 hurricane has sustained winds of 74 mph. The gusts in the region right now are not far off.
