Update: Suicide averted, traffic returning to normal

Law enforcement and emergency personnel from multiple agencies are dealing with a man threatening suicide by jumping from Yellowstone Trail bridge over Interstate 90, just east of Coeur d'Alene.

Negotiators are being sent to the scene, along with medical on standby.

Idaho State Police officers are detouring traffic at Exit 17, Mullan Trail Road.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
