Marvin Lewis Davis, 68
Marvin Lewis Davis, 68, of Athol, passed away on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at Kootenai Health from a stroke.
Marvin was born on Nov. 26, 1946, to Bill and Esther Davis. He lived the entirety of his life in Kootenai County. Marvin served his country in the Navy on the SS Columbus. He spent his career as an excellent mechanic.
Family remembers the great things that Marv did to bring joy to his family. For example the year he played Santa Claus and the time that he and his friends turned an old trailer into a haunted house. He loved the outdoors which made it real fun growing up as a kid because if we weren’t sledding, four-wheeling, hunting, fishing, boating, camping in the middle of Priest Lake or just taking a drive. He passed his love of the outdoors and vast knowledge to anyone who wanted to learn.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Susan, 65; sister Jean Bierwagon, 72, of Texas; son Joe Ulrich (Tina), Josh, Zack and Sam of Athol; daughter Heidi Capes (Dan) Capes, Zoe, Leiell and Sage of Wolf Lodge; daughter Amy Burright (Tom), Briannon and Matthew of Post Falls; son Bill Davis (Minette), Trent and Brett of Montana; daughter Carrie Becerra (Wade Wise), Whitney, Seilya, Lilyona, Vanessa and Dakota of Post Falls; and daughter Stacie Phillips (Ty), Sebastian, Nicholas, Cassidy and Lilly of Indiana. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sharon Aune.
There will be a memorial when out of state family is able to make travel arrangements. Memorial donations can be made to http://www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/help-susan.
All of the Davis clan wish we could reach up and scratch that wonderful bushy beard again, but we are blessed to say that dad’s gone fishin’.
