POST FALLS — After a patriotic dedication ceremony today that included raising flags on both sides of the new Greensferry overpass in Post Falls, the structure will open to traffic later this afternoon.
The $15 million projected funded by the Post Falls Urban Renewal Agency has been about 20 years in the works. It is intended to alleviate traffic congestion on Highway 41 and Idaho Street, improve emergency response and create economic development.
About 500 people, including citizens, government officials, project workers and elementary students, attended the ceremony above the traffic of Interstate 90 whizzing by.
