STATE HIGH SCHOOL SWIM MEET: Viking boys look for 3-peat
The Coeur d’Alene High boys will look to win a third straight state 5A championship as the state swim meet unfolds today and Saturday at the Boise West YMCA.
Coeur d’Alene senior Nicole Rozier is out to defend state titles in the 200-yard individual medley and 100 breaststroke. Rozier is seeded third in the 200 IM with a time of 2 minutes,13.76 seconds. She is second in the breaststroke with a 1:08.72. Coeur d’Alene’s 200 medley relay team is seeded third with a time of 1:56.44. The Viking girls 200 freestyle relay team is third with a time of 1:47.79 and the team’s 200 freestyle relay team is second in 3:49.07.
Post Falls senior Maggie de Tar is seeded second in the 200 freestyle at 1:56.03.
Coeur d’Alene sophomore Jon Archer is seeded third in the 100 backstroke in 56.72, followed by teammate Gabe Markowski in fifth in 58.11. Beau Urbaniak is fourth in the 200 freestyle for Coeur d’Alene in 1:49.66.
Prelims begin today at 1:30 p.m. PST, with championship finals Saturday starting at 1:30.
