PREP VOLLEYBALL: Vikings' Huddleston named to 5A first team

Senior Missy Huddleston, who helped Coeur d’Alene to a fourth-place finish at last weekend’s state 5A volleyball tournament, was named to the state 5A volleyball all-tournament first team.

Huddleston was a second-team selection last season.

Coeur d’Alene junior setter/outside hitter Ali Williams was named to the 5A second team.

Junior Maya Taylor, who led Idaho Falls to a second straight state title, was named to the first team for the third straight year.

Others named to the first team for the second straight year were Hailee Ackerman of Skyview (4A), Chaise Dodson of Sugar-Salem (3A) and Alexis Thompson of Shelley (3A).

The all-state tournament teams, as opposed to all-state teams, were selected by The Press following a poll of coaches whose teams participated at state.
