NIC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: NIC women roll in opener

COEUR d’ALENE — Shelby Cloninger scored 18 points and Ebony Norman added 17 as the North Idaho College women’s basketball team opened its season with a 98-78 victory over Sheridan (Wyo.) College on Thursday night at Rolly Williams Court.

“Ninety-eight points for the opener, I didn’t see that one coming,” NIC coach Chris Carlson said. “We came out strong and took it right at ’em. In the fourth quarter, they just put it in another gear.”

The two teams play again tonight at 5:30 at NIC.
