Robert Lawrence Hoff, 65, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away peacefully at sundown on Oct. 25, 2015.

He leaves behind his wife and best friend, Patricia Hoff; loving daughters, Jenny, Rachel and Allie Hoff; and grandchildren Bobbi and Hayden. He is also survived by his brother, Charlie Hoff; sisters Carol and Gloria Hoff; along with countless people whose lives he touched every day.

Born in Sacramento, Calif., on May 17, 1950, he spent years living in different areas before settling for the majority of his life in the place he loved most, North Idaho. He had an incredible passion for nature and the outdoors and spent some of his best times exploring the wilderness on horseback, camping and fishing. He enjoyed walks by the lake, drives through the country, and most of all, spending time with his family, who meant the world to him.

He loved cooking with his wife and exchanging recipes with his daughters. He treasured the precious time he spent with his grandkids and they will always cherish the memories they made with him. He always had a positive outlook and a funny story to brighten your day. His smile, his infectious laughter and his warm heart will truly be missed for all eternity. Rest easy with the angels, you dear, sweet, amazing man. This world is a better place because you were a part of it.
