Helen R. Schadewitz, 75

In loving memory of Helen R. Schadewitz, born April 27, 1940, to Sam and Lucy Creach in Yellville, Ark. Helen grew her angel wings early morning on Oct. 30, 2015, where she joined her parents, three sisters, husband and son.

Helen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved being with her family, puzzles, crocheting, knitting, reading, flowers and decorating for the holidays… every holiday. She always had a way of making something out of nothing. She spent most of her life in Yakima, Wash., and North Idaho.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lucy Creach; her sisters, Bonnie Creach, EllaMae Turnbull and Brenda Allen; her husband, James Schadewitz and son Travis Akins.

She is survived by her sisters, Glenna Frank of Yakima, Kay Pajuoja of Cloquet, Minn., Donna Matchett of Hoquiam, Wash., Lois (John) Hoegler of Houston, Texas, Bobbi (Mike) Bales of Yakima, Debi (Joe) Phifer of Yakima; brothers Sammy (Nancy) Creach of Selah, Wash., and Timmy Creach of Hoquiam; her sons, Terry (Cindy) Akins of Athol, Idaho, Glen (Colleen) Akins of Oldtown, Idaho, Kenny (Sherry) Akins of Rathdrum, Idaho, Tommy Akins of Rathdrum, Darin (Linda) Allen of Rathdrum and Kevin (Shandi) Allen of Hayden, Idaho; a brother-in-law, Jerry Turnbull of Yakima; a daughter in-law, Donna Akins of Texas; 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and a wonderful caregiver Kelly Sandlin. Helen will be forever in our hearts.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Burial will follow at Pinegrove Cemetery in Rathdrum. Arrangements are entrusted to English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene.
