HALLOWEEN: What would Jesus wear?

First of all your editorial regarding Halloween (Oct. 30) was awesome. Secondly I take great offense to John Loren Sanford’s My Turn column on Halloween Day.

I have been a Christian for 40 years and I’m 49. Believing in Jesus Christ and seeing the opinions of many for most of my life, I’m of the opinion it doesn’t matter if anyone dresses up as a witch or a devil on Halloween. It means nothing to those who wear the costume who believe. It’s just for fun. However, if someone is obsessed with evil, that’s a whole different story.

I’m thinking Jesus would be OK with it for one fun night. You might want to rethink your feelings because kids are kids and they would of course be interested in finding out a different message.
