Esther M. Torrence, 89

Esther Marie Torrence, of Spokane, Wash., went to be with the Lord in the early morning of Nov. 2, 2015. She passed peacefully at Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Esther was born to Patrick and Delphine Pratt, on March 14, 1926, in Crews, Mo.

Esther graduated from high school in East Liverpool, Ohio.

Esther had a special love for animals. Memories of her hand-feeding wild deer remind the family of her kind heart. The amount of lives, Esther impacted, cannot be numbered. She made a friend everywhere she went. She was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active part of all of their lives. She was a cornerstone in her church family. Esther had a great passion for her church and God! Her constant social calendar, revolved around her church family.

She married her high school sweetheart, Donald Eugene Torrence, in East Liverpool, on June 7, 1946. They were blessed with two sons, Kim and Scott Torrence.

Esther is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kim and Susan Torrence of Idaho; her daughter-in-law, Bianca Torrence of California; her grandchildren, Anita Torrence of Idaho, Jeffery Torrence of Oregon, Kira Reed (Rolan) of Idaho, David Torrence of California and Sylvia Torrence of California; and her great-grandchildren Jade, Raiden and Piper.

Esther was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Pratt; her mother, Delphine Pratt; her husband, Donald Torrence; her brothers, Robert Pratt and Earnest Pratt; her sister, Ruth McCullogh and her son, Scott Torrence.

The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at His Place Church in Post Falls, Idaho. With a reception hosted by her church family.

She will be deeply missed, but we rejoice in seeing her again in Heaven!
