BOEHNER: Departure a call for unity

The power of the purse was given to the Legislature to also help curb the power of a rogue administration and was used in the past to get fair-minded laws passed and bargain against possible vetoes. What we have today with Boehner and McConnell is the cowardly attitude of making deals behind closed doors to pacify this administration without the input of all the Legislature including the Freedom Caucus.

The people are angry with the status quo of going along to get along. Maybe with Boehner gone a wake-up call to try and unify the Republican Party again. Also remember the last time the government was shut down, the administration picks and chooses what part to shut down and wages of the administration and Congress were not among those items.
