Cd'A Symphony announces 2015-2016 season

The Coeur d'Alene Symphony Orchestra announces "Realms of Nature" its 2015-2016 performance season, with two free performances in downtown Coeur d'Alene and five subscription concert events at the Salvation Army Coeur d'Alene Kroc Center Auditorium.

* Saturday, Aug. 1: Noon - FREE Special Performance at Art on the Green, North Idaho College.

* Monday, Sept. 7: 1 p.m. - FREE Labor Day Concert at the Rotary Bandshell in Coeur d'Alene City Park.

* Realm of Stars Friday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m./Saturday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. - Featuring Star Wars, Also Sprach Zarathustra, Holst's "The Planets" and more.

* Realm of Ice & Snow Thursday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m./Friday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. - Symphony No. 1 (Winter) Tchaikovsky, Russian Christmas Music, Reed, Holiday Pops. (No Saturday Matinee)

* Realm of Curiosity Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at 7:30 p.m./Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at 2 p.m. - Serenade for Strings, Tchaikovsky, Premiere Rhapsodie, Debussy (Merilee Updike, clarinet soloist), Wind Serenade, Mozart, Young Lutheran's Guide to the Orchestra, Garrison Keillor.

* Realm of Champions Friday, March 11, 2016, at 7:30 p.m./Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 2 p.m. - Young Artists Winners Concert.

* Realm of Nature Friday, May 6, 2016, at 7:30 p.m./Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 2 p.m. - Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, Greig, Double Concerto, Brahms (Philip Baldwin, violin and Mika Hood, cello), Symphony No. 6 (Pastorale), Beethoven

Individual concert tickets: $27 adults, $21 seniors, $10 students and youth.
