Robert Wesley Simpson II, 68

Robert Wesley Simpson II, An all American guy, born on July 4, 1946, Bob Simpson passed away on May 11, 2015 he was 68.

He was born and raised in Edwall, Washington, on a wheat and cattle ranch. Bob learned the value of hard work which translated into everything he did from sports to daily life. He graduated from Reardan High School then went to Washington State University where he played football and earned a Masters in Finance Degree. He played a few years for the Dallas Cowboys then coached at WSU.

After football he became a Trust officer at Sea First Bank (B of A). In 1997 he moved to Coeur d'Alene to continue his financial career and enjoy retirement.

He was civic minded and served on the Washington State University Foundation Board, GSSA, Hoop Fest and several other organizations. He loved Hawaii and Palm Desert in the winter and he played golf whenever he could.

He is survived by his wife Judy, siblings Tracy Benzel (Tom), Steve Simpson (Susie), Colleen Schmidt (Mike) and Mary Moonen (Tony), Children: Cherylee Boatman (Alan), Michele Howes (Kent) Robert III (BJ), Chris Pasto, Kristin Teske (Tony) and Vicki Foege (Tom), and 9 grandchildren.

At Bob's request there will be no funeral service. There will be an open house gathering in honor of Bob Saturday May 16th from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M at Bob's house 3753E. Sky Harbor Dr. Coeur d'Alene, Idaho 83814

In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be sent in Bob's name to The Washington State University Athletic Fund, P.O. Box 6416A2, Pullman, WA 99164. Yates funeral Homes has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
