MOORE: Include judges in blame

Thank you for your great coverage of the shooting of a true hero, one of many of our faithful officers who walk in on some unimaginable situations every day. Three whole pages of coverage on Wednesday. And then to see the outpouring of support from our community. Wow!

It grieves me to see all the disrespect we read about around the rest of this country for our officers.

However, with all this coverage we see a huge lack of any words about the reason why this can happen. Not one word about who the judge or judges are who allow guys with a record like this guy to walk around free because those judges turn them loose.

Judges have to be voted on, just like other candidates. I would like to see their record made public just like every other candidate for office.

Maybe then we could weed out some of these judges and keep these situations from costing us more officers and other guiltless victims.
