LEVY: No time to fail

| March 7, 2015 8:00 PM

Vote yes for Coeur d’Alene’s children in our public schools! The proposed levy on March 10th allows District 271 to maintain services that are not supported by state funding. It will also support smaller class sizes and supply new textbooks.

My child attends one of the elementary schools here in Coeur d’Alene and I am a graduate of K-12 in Cd’A and the University of Idaho. The community and quality of life brought my family back to Cd’A after college, as it did many of my peers.

I urge voters to keep our city strong and make it a place your children and grandchildren will be able to stay, or come back to and make a living. With state budgets shrinking, our local district is asking voters to continue supporting our schools, their staff and our community.

Besides the levy, many of our local schools fundraise to maintain quality education. These parents who raise money recognize the lack of funding, and work tirelessly to support their schools. It is efforts from individuals, local businesses and teachers that keep our district performing at a higher level than most in Idaho.

We need an educated workforce to continue to keep our community thriving and healthy. This levy is imperative to keep Cd’A a place families want to raise children. Please don’t fail our kids! Vote YES March 10th.
