BUCK: Tribute to a role model

Charles T. Buck, Chairman of the Board of Buck Knives, Inc., exchanged his responsibilities in this world for his reward in heaven in early February 2015.

Tall in stature, generous in heart, he lived his faith. A positive role model for us today, and for future generations. He loved people. People loved him.

This year 2015 is the 10th anniversary of our Buck Knives for Veterans program. With God’s help, Buck Knives, Inc., Mike Patrick, Managing Editor of the Coeur d’Alene Press and our donors, we help to heal the wounds of our veterans, unseen to the eye.

We do not need money. Our inventory is adequate at this time.

Please accept my apologies for not attending the memorial service earlier this month. A previous commitment to present several Vietnam Veterans with these special knives came first. These veterans have waited more than 40 years for a proper thank you. We know Charles T. Buck would approve.

Our sympathy and our prayers for his family. We love you Charles T.
