ANNIVERSARIES

Philip L. and Donna M. Willadsen

60th Anniversary

Philip L. and Donna M. (Glasco) Willadsen, of Coeur d'Alene, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on June 29. They married in 1955.

Philip is retired as a lumber grader and road commissioner. Donna is retired as a CNA. She is an activities director at a local senior living center.

They have six children: Gwen of Coeur d'Alene; Gay of Kirkland, Wash.; Valerie of Post Falls; Mitch of Kennewick, Wash.; Brad of Coeur d'Alene and Lorena of Coeur d'Alene. They have 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Kenneth and Linda Black

50th Anniversary

Kenneth and Linda Black will celebrate their golden anniversary on June 26, 2015. They were married in 1965 in Los Angeles, Calif.

They have two sons: Craig of Las Vegas, Nev., and Brian (deceased); and three grandchildren: Brittney, Lauren and Troy of Las Vegas.

Kenneth and Linda have been Idaho residents since 1994. Both are retired. Ken is employed with the Coeur d'Alene School District No. 271 as a bus driver and trainer. Linda is a homemaker.

Paul and Charmaine Caraway

35th Anniversary

On June 22, 2015, Paul and Charmaine Caraway will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary.

Paul and Char met at a Marshall Tucker concert in Long Beach, Calif. When they met, Char was living in Hermosa Beach and Paul was living on Santa Catalina Island - 26 miles off the coast of Los Angeles.

They moved to Hayden Lake in 1991 with their 6-month-old daughter, Coral Cay, now grown, who has recently given them their first grandchild, Cannin Christopher.

ENGAGEMENT

Howes-Sampson

Milton and Karen Howes of Boise are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Alicia Karen Howes to Bryant James Sampson, both of Coeur d'Alene, son of Judy and Jeff Coe of Hayden and Jerry and Dawn Sampson of St. Maries.

Alicia graduated from Centennial High School in Boise in 2008 and the University of Idaho in 2012. She is a second-grade teacher at Prairie View Elementary in Post Falls. Bryant graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 2006 and the University of Idaho in 2011. He is a P.E. teacher at Atlas Elementary in Coeur d'Alene and owner of Gem State Services.

The couple will be united in marriage at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at Elk Point in Coeur d'Alene.

BIRTHS

Ivan Ezra Darryl Dooley was born at 2:23 a.m. June 10, 2015, to Rhonda D. Bahr and Isaac U. Dooley of Rathdrum. He weighed 8 pounds and was 19.75 inches long. Sister is Shelby. Brothers are Ryder and Thor. Maternal grandparents are Rhonda and Richard Bahr. Paternal grandparents are May and Les Dooley.

Dr. Emily Marijke Gussenhoven (originally of Coeur d'Alene) and Mr. Christopher David Roettgen (originally of Franklin, Wis.) joyfully announce the blessing of the birth of their son and daughter, Zachary Christopher Gussenhoven-Roettgen and Madeleine Josephine Gussenhoven-Roettgen at 8:10 and 8:12 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Dr. Eliza Berkley delivered the babies at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Virginia. Zack weighed 5 pounds, 0.4 ounces and measured 18 inches. Maddie weighed 3 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 17 inches. Emily is a lecturer of general chemistry at Old Dominion University, and Chris is a resident inspector for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant and is a Lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserves. The proud grandparents, Ms. C. Jo Gussenhoven of Hayden Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. David Roettgen of Franklin, tenderly welcome the precious additions to their families. Their hearts are full of love, pride and delight!

MILESTONE BIRTHDAY

Margaret Legard

105th Birthday

Margaret Legard will continue to celebrate her 105th birthday on Saturday, June 27, 2015, with family and friends.

She is a longtime resident of Coeur d'Alene. She was married to Allen Legard for 77 years before his death in 2005. They had four children, Jack (Nancy), Jerry (Gloria) of Hayden, Jim of Pasco, Wash., and the late Jeanne Ziemba. Margaret has 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren so far.

She is greatly loved by all and enjoys the visitors she receives daily.

EDUCATION

The Montana State University 2015 spring semester honor roll included students from North Idaho.

There are two MSU honor roll lists - the President's and the Dean's Honor Roll. Students must complete 12 credit hours to qualify for either list.

Students with perfect 4.0 GPAs for the semester were named to the President's Honor Roll. An asterisk follows the names of the students named to the MSU President's Honor Roll in the listing below.

The Dean's Honor Roll includes the students earning grade point averages of 3.5 or above for the semester.
