Burglars pick on Vapor Cafe
KELLOGG - Police have apprehended two juveniles in connection with the latest break-in at the Vapor Cafe in Kellogg.
Kellogg Police discovered the front window of the business had been broken with a rock around 7:30 a.m. on Monday.
According to Kellogg Police Chief Dave Wuolle, two juveniles were found with electronic cigarette paraphernalia Monday evening and they are considered suspects in the matter.
This was the third time in the last year that the business has been burglarized or vandalized.
"It's very hard to build a successful business in Kellogg these days, and setbacks like these don't exactly encourage other business to come in and set up shop" said James Barbour, owner of the Vapor Cafe.
However, this setback will not faze Barbour.
"We are not going anywhere," said Barbour. "We have a very large customer base in the Silver Valley who depend on the services we offer. We are definitely not leaving."
"The damage to the building will cost around $1,000," said Brenda Stinson, owner of the building where the Vapor Cafe is located.
When given the news that police had apprehended the two youths, Stinson said, "This is ridiculous, where is the accountability?"
Anybody with additional information about this case is asked to call the Kellogg Police Department at (208) 784-1131.
