John Edward Krum, 76

Our beloved John Edward Krum, 76, passed away at his home in Post Falls, Idaho, surrounded by his family and friends, on June 1, 2015.

John was born in Union, Iowa, on Dec. 22, 1938, to John Eugene and Ruth Krum. He attended school in Montevideo, and graduated from Montevideo High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served from 1956-1960.

John married Judy Russell Tessier on Nov. 6, 1976, in Boise, Idaho.

John was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Coeur d'Alene. He belonged to the Coeur d'Alene Harmonizers, and the Lilac City Gold Wing Motorcycle Club in Spokane. He enjoyed reading, knitting, sports, and of course, motorcycle riding.

John was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Marie Krum; son Sean Ray Tessier; parents John Eugene and Ruth Krum; and sister Emogene Homan.

John is survived by his wife, Judy Krum, of Post Falls; daughter Lori Barker (Jack) of Coeur d'Alene; sons J.D. Krum of Coeur d'Alene and Scott Tessier (Kim) of Post Falls; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and his sister, Mary Jane Bruss (Ron) of Coon Rapids, Minn.

John had an amazing sense of humor and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1700 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Coeur d'Alene. He will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery during a private family inurnment.
