Rathdrum park fun day is Saturday

RATHDRUM - Rathdrum Parks and Recreation will host its annual Fun Day in the Park on Saturday at Stub Myers Park.

The event, which was originally slated for last weekend before it was postponed due to rain, starts at 3 p.m. with games for kids. The games are available with a donation to benefit Special Needs Recreation. The nonprofit will also provide treats, with all proceeds benefiting local adults and children with special needs.

Rathdrum Mayor Vic Holmes and the city council will start serving hot dogs, chips and a drink at 6 p.m. The food is free while supplies last.

The free movie "Open Season" will be shown at 8:40 p.m. or dusk. Bring your chairs and blankets.
