Bomar takes lead

at Senior Oregon Open

PENDLETON, Ore. - Prairie Falls Golf Course pro Billy Bomar leads the Senior Oregon Open by one stroke over defending champion of Todd Erwin of Tacoma (Wash.) heading into today's final round at the Wildhorse Resort and Casino.

Bomar posted rounds of 70-64-134, 10-under par to lead the field of 220 participants.

Amateur Bob Christensen of Coeur d'Alene Resort, Tuesday's leader, is two strokes back (64-72-136).

Mike DeLong of the Coeur d'Alene Resort (71-69-140) and Steve Prugh of Manito Golf and Country Club (67-73-140).

Former Vandal

inks pro deal

Former Idaho Vandal point guard Mike Scott will be playing in a different venue in 2015-16, signing with BC Siauliai of the Lithuanian Basketball League.

Scott led the Big Sky Conference with 5.3 assists per game, while his assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.33 was the best in the league and fifth best in the nation. A senior captain in 2014-15, Scott started 29 games and finished second on the team in scoring at 14.0 points per game. He scored in double-figures 22 times, the second highest on the team.
