HAYDEN - Two new faces have joined the leadership team at Panhandle Area Council.

The designated Economic Development District - the primary mission of which is to strengthen the five northern counties of Idaho by providing small business loans, infrastructure grants, and economic development planning - announced the new hires in a press release last week. Wally Jacobson, of Hayden, and Cindy Jordan, of Coeur d'Alene, were selected after an extensive search.

Jacobson will take over as the executive director of the organization. According to the press release, he brings years of diverse professional experience, with for-profit and nonprofit organizations, to the table.

"Wally brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to PAC and we are grateful for his commitment to the business community and positively impacting our region," Commissioner Dan Green, board chair for PAC, said in the release. "Wally's leadership and vision will take PAC to the next level."

Prior to joining PAC as a marketing specialist, Jacobson was a director at several project development firms, where he initiated business development efforts in pursuing environmental and renewable energy projects.

"I have always believed in the mission and vision of PAC, and look forward to continuing the legacy of job creation established by my predecessors," Jacobson said in the release.

"And having Cindy Jordan join the PAC team is a vital part of the future success of the organization."

Jordan joined PAC as the director of small business finance. According to the release, she is a small-business advocate and community leader who has spent almost 20 years in the area, helping small businesses expand and obtain access to capital.

"I am excited to join the Panhandle Area Council team, and look forward to collaborating with our economic development partners to support the growing business community in the five northern counties of Idaho," Jordan said in the release.
