CALDWELL (AP) - An Oregon man who taught at a church in Idaho is spending at least a year and a half in prison for having a sexual relationship with a teenage student.

Police arrested 24-year-old Casey Dyck in February. Canyon County prosecutors say he had sexual contact with the girl at his home and the church.

Investigators say he also sent inappropriate text messages to students at Centennial Baptist Church, and told one girl she would get extra credit for wearing low-cut tops and short skirts.

Dyck has to serve at least 18 months of his 11 1/2 year prison sentence before he can become eligible for parole.

He was ordered to pay penalties and fines as well as register as a sex offender and submit a DNA sample to the state.
