COEUR d'ALENE - A man arrested for not reporting the death of a woman found partially submerged in Hauser Lake has now been charged with her death.

Patrick N. McGhee, 47, of Hauser Lake, saw counts of second-degree murder, destruction of evidence, interstate trafficking in prostitution and procurement of a prostitute tacked onto the list of charges against him. All are felonies.

The charges were updated Tuesday during a court hearing. His bail amount was increased from $250,000 to $1 million.

Kelly Lynne Sallee, 55, of Spokane, was found dead in Hauser on June 11. Her body was found by a passerby off Hauser Lake Road, partially in a slough.

The amended complaint, filed in Kootenai County's 1st District Court, alleged that McGhee killed Sallee on or about June 7.

It said a ligature was applied to her neck.

The document said McGhee allegedly used bleach to destroy his semen, which was on Sallee. That allegedly occurred sometime between June 7 and June 10.

Kootenai County prosecutors also allege he paid Sallee for sexual contact on or around June 7.

Prosecutors also said that between June 2014 and June 7 of this year, McGhee brought prostitutes from Washington to Idaho and paid them for sex.

He also remains charged with failure to notify authorities of a death, which is also a felony.
