16U Lums ousted from Washington state tourney

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Derek Gove had a hit, a run, an RBI and a stolen base, but the Coeur d'Alene Lumbermen were eliminated from the Washington state "A" Legion baseball tournament with an 8-5 loss to Bellingham at Borleske Stadium.

The Lums, coached by Kevin Dunton and assisted by Roger Keilig, went 2-2 at state and finished 28-5-2.

Levi Haen, Jake Kettle and Justin Bates each had a hit for the Lums, and Kettle and Bates each scored a run. Blake English allowed one earned run in three innings of work.
