Volunteers needed for Cd'A Triathlon

With less than two weeks to go before the Coeur d'Alene Triathlon, race volunteers are still needed.

So far, 35 volunteers have signed onto the Aug. 8 event, and organizers hope to attract 20 more.

The Coeur d'Alene Triathlon, in its 33rd year, helps the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce bring Ironman CDA to the community each year.

"There is a significant financial sponsorship fee the chamber pays to the World Triathlon Corporation or the rights to host Ironman," stated Steve Wilson, Chamber president. "Proceeds from the CdA Tri, this year held on Aug. 8, are an important part of the equation in acquiring those sponsorship funds."
