Three people injured in crash near St. Maries

ST. MARIES — Three people were transported to Benewah Community Hospital after the vehicle they were in went over an embankment along Highway 3 near St. Maries on Thursday night.

According to Idaho State Police, Paul G. Larsen, 71, North Las Vegas, Nev., was driving a 2007 Mercury Sable at 8:54 p.m. southbound at milepost 94 when he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control and went over the northern embankment.  

Danni D. Waddell, Hurricane, Utah, and Lea W. Larsen, North Las Vegas, were the passengers and also transported to the hospital. 

All three occupants were treated and released from the hospital and wearing seatbelts.
