Hayden Days set for Friday, Saturday

HAYDEN - Hayden Days sponsored by Hayden Lake Rotary will be held Friday and Saturday at Hayden City Park, 8930 North Government Way.

The hours will be Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Events will include a parade, Northern Lakes Fire/Hayden chamber of commerce pancake breakfast, the NAPA Car Show, live entertainment, a beer garden and youth activities.

Activities for children include pony rides, bounce houses, spin art, a dunk tank and games.

Food and craft vendors will be available.

The Kelly Hughes Band will perform on Friday night and Men in the Making on Saturday night.

The "Hayden's Got Talent" show will be from 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Judges and the audience will determine the winners.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast is $7 and will be on Saturday from 7-9:30 a.m. The car show will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday and will run along Government Way starting at Hayden Avenue and ending at Honeysuckle Avenue. The Citizen of the Year, Rory Presnell, is the grand marshal. Presnell has been involved in organizing the Hayden Days car show and "Hayden's Got Talent" show.

This parade will also include the fire department, U.S. Forest Service Smokey Bear, Hot Punch Highlanders, Fallen Hero Banner Project, Flip Factory Gymnastics and Cheer, Shriners Octocycle, Kootenai County Fairgrounds and Rodeo, Ziggy's and classic cars. Government Way will be closed from 8:15 to 10 a.m. from Hayden to Miles during the parade.
