Barron roars into lead at Rosauers; Hatley tied for third
SPOKANE - PGA Professional Derek Barron of Tacoma Golf Center shot a 9-under-par 62 on Saturday to take a two-shot lead after two rounds of the 54-hole Rosauers Open Invitational at Indian Canyon.
Barron, who shot a 59 in a pro-am on Wednesday to break the course record, is at 129, 13 under par. Manito pro Corey Prugh, a three-time Rosauers champion, shot 64 and is at 131.
Amateur Reid Hatley of Hayden Lake shot 66 for the second straight day, and is in a four-way tie for third at 10-under 132. Billy Bomar (Prairie Falls) shot 65 on Saturday and is tied for 10th at 8-under 134.
Amateur Kyler Gable (Avondale) shot 64 and is tied for 17th at 6-under 136. Former Lakeland High standout Derek Bayley, who will be a sophomore at Washington State in the fall, shot 72 and is tied for 20th at 5-under 137.
