ASA SOFTBALL: Xtreme remain in title hunt at ASA 14U regional
COEUR d'ALENE - Hailey Kane was 3 for 4 with four RBIs and two runs scored for the North Idaho Xtreme, which beat the Idaho Diamond Bandits of Boise 10-3 in a losers bracket game in the ASA Region 15 14-and-under class B regional fastpitch tournament at Ramsey Park on Saturday.
The Xtreme won three straight after a 6-5 loss to Bat Company of West Linn, Ore., also beating the Voodoo Dollz 13-1, Spokane Crash 7-4. They return to action today at 8 a.m. against Bat Company.
Lower Columbia Devastation of Rainier, Ore., beat the Montana Eclipse 10-0 to advance to the championship game today at 11:45 a.m., with an if-necessary game at 1:45 p.m.

Montana Eclipse (Helena, Mont.) 9, Idaho Diamond Bandits (Boise) 8: April Davis went 3 for 4 with three runs scored and Taylor Mathews went 3 for 4 with two runs scored for the Eclipse. Madeline Vancree and Harper Piatt each went 3 for 4 for the Diamond Bandits.
Lower Columbia Devastation 10, Montana Eclipse (Helena, Mont.) 0: Taylor Dow went 3 for 4 with two doubles and two runs scored and Olivia Warren went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and a home run for the Devastation.

North Idaho Xtreme 13, Voodoo Dollz 1: Emma Gray went 3 for 4 with three doubles, four runs scored and two RBIs and Maddi Ferniman went 3 for 4 with three runs scored and an RBI for the Xtreme.
Mining City Magic 6, Spokane Diamonds 1: Carley Fink went 2 for 3 for the Magic.
North Idaho Xtreme 7, Spokane Crash 4: Bree Baldree went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and the Xtreme took advantage of nine errors in the win. Brooke Hecker had two RBIs for the Crash.
Bat Company 4, Mining City Magic 3: Sara Moss went 2 for 4 in the win.
Bat Company 8, Capital City Crush 6: Bella Valdes was 3 for 4 in the win. Olivia Acker was 3 for 4 in the loss.
Xtreme 10, Diamond Bandits 3: Hailey Kane was 3 for 4 with four RBIs and two runs scored for the Xtreme, and teammate Ashlin Allen was 2 for 3 with a triple.
