FLAG: Images of my relative

| July 17, 2015 9:00 PM

I wonder if the South Carolina Governor would call for a ban on all the state’s Bibles if the little twit coward that shot up the church had been pictured holding a Bible instead of the Confederate flag? When I look at my Confederate flag I think of my great-great-great-grandfather that fought with the Mississippi contingent along with so many valiant Southerners who fought for States’ Rights, their blood soaking the fields on which their proud flag waved. Seems I heard that war has been over a long, long time. Yet seems like every time some little loose-wired crackpot who knows nothing about respecting the flag or anything else goes amuck it’s time to blame guns or the Confederate flag. How sad South Carolina and so many are so naively ready to jump on runaway wagons.

Yes, I have a flag but I would have been willing to risk my life if I could have saved those church members. I’m not ready to give up my Confederate flag or my Bible. If people want to despise a flag, try that black one with ISIS written on it. Maybe Ms. Dolezal has some input on this subject.
