| July 16, 2015 9:00 PM

SPOKANE - NBC and Golf Channel broadcaster, Todd Lewis, will be returning to the Inland Northwest to emcee on-course events, including a clinic with PGA Tour players, during the Showcase presented by GoPro on Aug. 3 at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course.

"I'm really looking forward to getting back to the Inland Northwest to help with this great event," said Lewis from St. Andrews, Scotland, where he is busy preparing for this week's broadcast of The Open Championship for NBC and the Golf Channel.

"I fondly remember my time in the region, the fact that I can come back and help with an event that aids local cancer patients makes it all the more special.

Lewis landed at the Golf Channel in 2008, where he currently serves as a host and on-site reporter, sharing top storylines from PGA TOUR events and broadcasting from the biggest tournaments in the world. He also serves as an interviewer during NBC/Golf Channel's PGA TOUR tournament coverage. In the late 1990's, Lewis worked in Spokane as a weekend sportscaster for KXLY TV.

Lewis joins a cadre of national broadcasters participating in the Showcase, including ESPN's Neil Everett, PJ Carlesimo and Jay Harris, along with former NBA basketball players Detlef Schrempf and Adam Morrison, Gonzaga men's basketball coach Mark Few, Boise State men's basketball coach Leon Rice, Eastern Washington men's basketball coach Jim Hayford, current Los Angeles Laker Rob Sacre, former NFL kicker Ryan Longwell, NHL Hall of Fame goaltender Grant Fuhr and current PGA Tour golfer Alex Prugh. A list of other notable celebrities will be released in the next two weeks.
