Fall softball leagues
forming in Coeur d'Alene
The Coeur d'Alene Recreation Department is currently accepting team entries for Fall softball leagues.
The team entry fee is $520.
A men's league is offered that will play doubleheaders on Tuesday. Two coed leagues are also offered. A coed competitive league will play Thursday doubleheaders and the recreational coed league will play Mondays and Wednesdays.
Games start on Sept. 1 and teams play a 10 game schedule.
Deadline is Aug. 14 or when leagues are full. There is limited openings and individual player registration is not accepted.

WSU receiver Cracraft named
to Biletnikoff Award Watch List
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Washington State junior wide receiver River Cracraft was named to the 2015 Bilentnikoff Award Watch List, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club announced.
The Bilentnikoff Award recognizes the outstanding receiver in college football. Last season, three Cougars were named to the watch list including Cracraft, Vince Mayle and Isiah Myers. Mayle was later selected as one of ten semifinalists.
Cracraft finished last season seventh in the Pac-12 with eight touchdown catches, ninth with 66 receptions and tenth with 771 receiving yards in just nine games.
The Trabuco Canyon, Calif., native tallied four 100-yard games and his 66 catches were tenth-most in school single-season history.
WSU linebacker Allison named to
Wuerffel Trophy Watch List
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. - Washington State senior linebacker Jeremiah Allison was named to the 2015 Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, the organization announced.
The trophy, known as college football's premier award for community service, is presented annually by the All Sports Association. Named after 1996 Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel of Florida, the trophy goes to the FBS player that best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.
Allison is one of 80 football student-athletes considered for the award that honors college football's top community servant.
Allison has been involved with many community service projects in and around Pullman throughout his three years at Washington State.
The Los Angeles native has assisted with Habitat for Humanity, the Washington State Athletics Reading Buddies with local elementary schools, Sr. Buddies at the local retirement home and Butch's Holiday Bash for local children.
Allison also helped out with National Women In Sports Day and is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for football. He was the recent recipient of the WSU athletic community service award and also works with the local church, setting up weekly bibal studies in addition to speaking with local individuals who lost their parent or parents to share words of inspiration.
The award will be presented during the 47th annual All Sports Association Awards Banquet on Feb. 12, 2016 in Fort Walton Beach.
Donlin named New England
Summer League All-Star
Washington State's Shea Donlin was named the starting second baseman for the South Dvision in the New England Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game.
Donlin, a redshirt junior from Woodinville, Wash., owns a .302 batting average through 17 games with two doubles and two stolen bases for the Newport Gulls.
This past season for the Cougars, Donlin appeared in 34 games, made 24 starts and posted a .230 batting average with five doubles, four stolen bases and nine runs scored while fielding at a .962 clip.
The 22nd annual NEWCBL All-Star Game is Sunday in Sanford, Maine.
