At Croffoot Park, Hayden

Coeur d'Alene Black 14, Hayden Red 4: Andrew Karns struck out six and Tucker Gibbar hit a two-run double in the win, and Joe DuCoeur went 3 for 3 with a double. Jesse Brown drove in two runs for Hayden.

Game 2 of the best-of-3 series for the district title is Saturday at noon.

AGE 10-11

At Croffoot Park, Hayden

Hayden 14, Coeur d'Alene 4: Ryan Schneider pitched a no-hitter with nine strikeouts, and Liam Paddack hit a two-run home run in the win.

MAJORS (age 11-12)

At Croffoot Park, Hayden

Coeur d'Alene 15, Lewiston 5: Ethan Skelton tripled for Coeur d'Alene, which advanced to the championship game vs. Post Falls on Sunday at noon. Austin Kolb hit a grand slam for Lewiston.

Post Falls 3, Hayden 2: Jacob Vasquez struck out eight and Jayden Triana hit a solo home run in the win. Dylan Stahlecker allowed one hit over four innings for Hayden.

JUNIORS (age 13-14)

At Pine St. Park, Sandpoint

Sandpoint 14, Lakeland 4: Tyler Lehman hit a three-run homer, and also struck out eight in four innings as Sandpoint won the district tournament title.

Sandpoint advances to the best-of-3 state playoffs vs. a Boise-area team in two weeks in Boise.

Ezra Grigg and Jarrett Taylor each scored two runs for Lakeland.
