NAMPA (AP) - Southwestern Idaho law enforcement officers say a 41-year-old man shot himself after refusing to leave his home in Nampa.
Nampa Police Sgt. Joe Ramirez says the man is alive and has been transported to a local hospital.
Officials have not released the man's name or his medical condition.
Nampa police say dispatchers received a domestic disturbance call from a woman on Thursday, who said she had gotten into an argument with her husband. During the call, the woman said her husband had a gun.
The man barricaded himself in the home when officers arrived. No one else was in the house.
