Workshop today focuses on Four Corners plans

| July 9, 2015 9:00 PM

COEUR d'ALENE - A public workshop will be held today by the Coeur d'Alene City Council and the city's Parks and Recreation Commission to discuss the Four Corners Plan.

The workshop, which is scheduled to take place in the Old City Hall Council Chambers at 3 p.m., will center around reviewing proposed improvements to the Bureau of Land Management's land in the Four Corners area.

The master plan area runs from Independence Point to the BLM corridor's western boundary near the east end of Riverstone.

BLM controls 29 of the 40 acres of land in the 2-mile stretch. However, if the city's master plan focuses on developing the area for public use, the federal agency could lease the property to the city at little or no cost.
