Michael Paul Rice, 58

Michael Paul Rice, 58, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015, after a short battle with liver cancer. Mike was a great example of the redeeming power of Christ.

Mike spent his youth dealing and using drugs; sharing needles led to an infection of hepatitis C, which after 30 years led to liver complications and the ailment which claimed his life.

Mike would encourage any who are struggling with drugs to avoid sharing needles, but Mike and his family encourage those struggling with drugs to seek help because his ailment is proof that you will reap what you sow, even if it takes 30 years to come to fruition.

As a man who accepted Christ as his savior, Mike's spirit will have life and his character will live on through his parents, brother, three daughters, two sons, three granddaughters, three grandsons, their families, and the countless lives Mike had the honor of encountering.

Mike's Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 10 at Prairie Avenue Christian Center in Hayden; all his friends and loved ones are invited to attend.
