Clark creates chaos, Indians rout Boise

SPOKANE - Spokane leadoff hitter Ledarius Clark went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and two stolen bases to lead the Indians past the Boise Hawks 8-2 on Monday night in Northwest League baseball before 4,040 at Avista Stadium.

The Indians took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, as Clark scored on Dylan Moore's sac fly from third. Clark had previously walked, and then stole second and third to get in position.

Spokane added two more in the second, as Yeyson Yrizarri hit an RBI double, before scoring on Clark's sac fly to left.

The Indians piled on in the seventh, scoring three runs, highlighted by Clark and Leon Byrd each doubling and then scoring.

An inning later, Diego Cedeno doubled to lead off, later scoring on a wild pitch. Clark singled later in the inning to bring Yrizarri in from second.

Indians starter Luke Lanphere threw five innings, allowing six hits and two runs and picked up his first win of the season.

The two teams are back in action tonight at Avista Stadium at 6:30.
