LEGION BASEBALL: Prairie wins; Lumbermen fall
SPOKANE - Tanner McCliment-Call hit a 3-run double with two out in the top of the seventh inning to give the Prairie Cardinals the lead for good in an 8-6 win against the Great Falls Chargers in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Wood Bat Classic at Rogers High.
Chaz Bailey went 2 for 3 with two doubles and Jared Porter struck out five for Prairie (8-27), which faces the Bulldogs Elite on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the GSL Showcase tournament in Centralia, Wash.
Brock Zeller struck out two in a scoreless sixth inning and Jacob Elliott had two strikeouts in the seventh to preserve the win for Prairie.

Coeur d'Alene, Northern Lakes fail to advance
The Coeur d'Alene Lumbermen fell to the Edmonton Cardinals 9-1 to finish pool play 2-3 in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Wood Bat Classic on Saturday at Thorco Field.
In other action, Northern Lakes beat Hanford 9-3 to finish pool play 2-3 in the tournament.
Northern Lakes travels to Lewis-Clark on Tuesday.
Coeur d'Alene (25-10) hosts the Apple Valley Packers in a nonleague doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Thorco Field.
Neither team advanced past pool play.
