PARADE: Move up start time

After finding it somewhat miserable to even walk from the air-conditioned car to the air-conditioned store Sunday and doing very little of anything in my not air-conditioned house, I thought I would throw out the idea of starting the Fourth of July parade at 9 a.m. this year instead of 11. There are lots of kids and older folks in the parade, and many of them are not just sitting on a float! There is very little shade on the route for the participants and not that much more for the people watching. I can’t imagine anyone not thinking this is a good idea!
