Harriet L. Moug, 86

| January 25, 2015 8:00 PM

God called his daughter, Harriet Louise Moug, home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Jan. 15, 2015. She was born Dec. 20, 1928, in Litchville, N.D., to Alexander Farley and Mary Lowe.

Harriet married Delmore "Bud" Moug on June 15, 1953. They raised their family in Jamestown, N.D. and Sheridan, Wyo. They had five children - Sandra (Richard) Bond of Sagle, Idaho, Joe (Robyn) Moug of Deer Park, Wash., Kathleen (Stuart) Zinke of Coeur d'Alene, Jill (Darron) Cole of Coeur d'Alene and Jonathan Moug (deceased). She had 11 treasured grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Harriet was a Proverbs 31 wife: "A wife of noble character worth far more than rubies. She opened her arms to the poor and extended her hands to the needy. She watched over the affairs of her household and never ate the bread of idleness ... a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."

Her many talents included gardening, painting, and quilting. Harriet donated countless handmade quilts to the poor and needy, and was known for her beautiful, manicured gardens. She centered her life around her family.

Harriet was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan; granddaughter Angela Johnson; sister and dear friend Nelda Fossum-Norcott; and brother Charles Farley. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Gusaas of Jamestown, N.D., and brothers William Farley of St. Paul, Minn., and Dennis "Buddy" Farley of Lemon Grove, Calif.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, at Lake City Community Church, 6000 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d'Alene.

Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene, is entrusted with the care of final arrangements. Please visit Harriet's online memorial and sign her guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
