PUBLIC NOTICE The Idaho Transportation Department, Office of Highway Safety announces the availability of Federal highway safety grant funds for behavioral traffic safety programs for fiscal 2016 beginning on October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016. Priority highway safety program areas include occupant protection, impaired driving, aggressive driving, youthful drivers, roadway safety/traffic records, enhancement of data systems, distracted drivers, emergency medical services and other problem areas. Applicants must be state or local governmental and/or non-profit organizations. The deadline for the applications is February 27, 2015. Faxed or Electronic Letters of Intent must be received no later than 11:59 PM MST (before Midnight) on Friday, February 27, 2015.
